Amari is the second collection designed by Maggie Levien for Sanderson. It has an ethereal quality, with many of the designs taking their names from Greek nymphs or goddesses. Motifs have been taken from a host of eclectic sources, from antique Indian pashmina carpets to a Japanese textiles, all reworked in Maggie Levien’s distinctive handwriting; stylised florals, boldly depicted, yet with lightness and femininity in the design and colouring. Soft metallic and pearlescent inks have been used to accent motifs creating interesing affects throughout the collection.
