From January 2010 all of Farrow and Ball finishes are Eco friendly, this means that their oil based paint finishes are no longer available. Farrow & Ball's edited palette of unrivalled colours has been created to ensure you succeed, whatever your style. Colour names, their origins and descriptions can be found on the following pages.
The Farrow & Ball highly pigmented formulations give colours of great depth. Remember, colour changes according to its surroundings so we suggest you trial colours in situ using a sample pot.
Estate® Emulsion
Used throughout the house for ceilings and walls, environmentally friendly, water based Estate® Emulsion defines the Farrow & Ball look. Formulated to give you exceptional durability and washability, this chalky matt finish has unrivalled depth of colour. With enhanced coverage and more pigment in every tin than other emulsions, it is a finish that quickly sets you apart.
Sample pots are available in Estate® Emulsion.

Modern Emulsion
When usage demands complete washability and stain resistance, water based Modern Emulsion is the perfect alternative to Estate® Emulsion. With a slightly increased sheen level, this wall and ceiling paint is ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and areas of high usage. Modern Emulsion is amongst the most environmentally friendly paints available.

Estate Eggshell
An extremely robust and durable eggshell finish which is easily wiped or washed clean. Ideal for all interior woodwork and metal including radiators.
Its low sheen level makes it the ideal complement to our Estate® Emulsion and Modern Emulsion.

- Coverage is up to 60sq. m. per 5 litres.

Eco Floor Paint
This hard-wearing reduced solvent paint has a classic eggshell finish which will bring to any interior wood or concrete floor to life, including garages and workshops. Not suitable for use on decking or any other outside floor. is available in all colours and so is an ideal way of treating timber or concrete floors.

Eco Full Gloss
Full Gloss is a low odour reduced solvent paint with a traditional high gloss finish. Extremely versatile and robust, it is suitable for both interior and exterior wood and metalwork, and can also be used to dramatic effect on walls and ceilings.

Exterior Masonry
An environmentally friendly water based exterior paint with the hallmark Farrow & Ball mattness and lasting durability.

Eco Full Gloss
A low odour reduced solvent paint with a traditional high gloss finish. Our Full Gloss is suitable for both interior and exterior wood and metalwork. No longer restricted to front doors and window frames, it is being used for dramatic effect on ceilings and walls.

Eco Exterior Eggshell
A durable, flexible, low odour reduced solvent eggshell. For use on softwood or hardwood doors, window frames, cladding and garden furniture. With a lower sheen level than most eggshell paints, Exterior Eggshell is also suitable for use on metal surfaces such as railings, gates, guttering and furniture.

Eco Dead Flat
An environmentally friendly reduced solvent paint. This low odour paint
has a dead flat finish. Suitable for both interior woodwork, plaster
and metal where a very matt finish is required.

- Coverage is up to 60 sq. m. per 5 litres.
- Preparation: Wood Primer & Undercoat, Stain Block Primer or Metal Primer.

Soft Distemper
A simple, traditional distemper bound with natural resins with a very flat powdery finish. Allows the fabric to breathe. Used on ceilings and fine plasterwork.
- Available in all off-whites only.

- Coverage is up to 65 sq. m. per 5 litres.
- 1.5% sheen level.
- Non-washable.
Casein Distemper
A wipeable strengthened distemper with added casein. Allows the fabric to breathe.
- Available in all colours.

- Coverage is up to 65 sq. m. per 5 litres.
- 2% sheen level.
- Wipeable.
Limewash
A readily usable limewash. Can be used internally as well as externally.
